With all of the media attention on H1N1 it can be easy to become hyper-sensitive to any changes in your body and assume immediately that you have
swine flu. It is important to understand the symptoms of H1N1 so you can determine if it is necessary to consult your doctor. The symptoms for H1N1 can
be any of the following:
Runny Nose
Headache
Sore Throat
Muscle Aches
Cough or shortness of breath
Diarrhoea or vomiting
Extreme tiredness
The H1N1 flue symptoms are similar to that of the regular seasonal flu so you can expect to have a fever as well usually over 100.4 F along with two or more

In most cases your symptoms should go-away within a week as is seen with normal cases of the flu. If your symptoms do not improve after seven days you should
contact your doctor for further analysis. There are antiviral medications that can be used to treat H1N1 however in most cases these need to be taken at
the beginning of the illness in order to be effective.
The two most popular drugs used in the treatment of H1N1 right now are Oseltamavir commonly known as
Tamiflu and Zanamivir commonly known as Relenza.
